I was so excited to photograph Claudell again after she recently competed in the Mrs SA pageant 2015. The vision of the pageant is to focus on the role of married women in South Africa and the positive influence that they may have on our society. All the women in the pageant were truly extraordinary and we can all learn from their examples. The main qualities that are sought after in the participants of the pageant is the ambition to make a difference in the lives of both themselves and others while embracing the values of marriage. How inspirational is that?
Getting to know Claudell has been so inspirational all in itself and I think she fits the values of the pageant perfectly. Claudell did fantastically in the pageant and was a semi-finalist (top 100), but unfortunately didn’t make it through to the top 25 finalists. I think it must have been a very difficult choice for the judges!
There are so many words to describe Claudell – dazzling, classy, sophisticated, stunning… But most of all, she has an open heart and a beautiful spirit. I left the shoot smiling – her happiness is so contagious! This is my second shoot with Claudell, I previously did a shoot with her when she needed portraits to enter the Mrs SA pageant 2015, you can check out those photographs here.
This time round, the shoot was a fashion shoot to showcase one of Claudell’s sponsors, Callaghan Collezioni. Callaghan Collezioni truly recognises the idea that ‘fashions fade but style is eternal’. I am dying to visit their store in Cavendish Square.
Claudell was also recently featured in the Tabletalk because of her involvement in the Mrs SA pageant 2015. Reading the article made me so happy and I realised that Claudell truly is the perfect role model! She is just being her herself, and it’s beautiful!
